Mariah is a eight month old Basenji mix. She was rescued from the shelter in Los Banos where she was brought in as a stray with no tags or ID Chip. When no one came to claim her we decided to go get her and bring her into the rescue. This little girl is about as friendly as they come she lives with three other dogs one of which is Tonka who is also available in the rescue. Mariah has some energy so will need a home that loves to hike bike or even run. Maria could be a marathon runners jogging partner Who will help keep you on track with your training. Another dog in the house that is playful and energetic would be a dream for her as she loves to play with the other dogs. After playtime with her canine siblings or a quick run with her family Mariah is all about snuggle time with her people. Be prepared for lots of kisses and licks to let you know how much she loves you. We will be looking for applicants that demonstrate strong dog ownership and are dedicated to continuing training and socialization with Mariah. She has been around children and does wonderful with them however due to her energy level and size children should be at least school age so that she can't knock them down as easily. Mariah is crate trained and is working on house training in her foster home and is making progress. We estimate Mariah's adult wait to be around 40 pounds.
