Meet Koa which in Hawaiian means "Brave, Bold and Fearless" Koa is named in honor of a friend of the rescue. "Christine" was an active, law student in her 20's one day and fighting for her life the next. Numbness in her extremities turned into complete paralysis requiring life support and months of hospitalization. It was not known if she would live much less walk again. Well.... "Christine" not only lived, she finished law school, married the man that stood by her side through everything, danced at her wedding and adopted a pit bull named Charlotte. She continues to follow and support Jakes Wish. Koa has a slight case of Demodex Mange that she is getting over but like Christine our girl is Brave, Bold and Fearless. She is a happy puppy that loves everyone she meets.
Who's a good puppy? Koa's a good puppy! Actually she's more of a baby hippo or a meatloaf, two of her nicknames. She's crate trained, potty trained, and knows basic commands. She loves other dogs and even does well with cats! She is only 4 months old, yet she knows how to entertain herself when her foster siblings don't feel like playing. She'll grab a toy or two, toss them around, catch them, shake them, and run crazy laps across the living room with them. Once she's done playing, she likes to climb up on the couch and snooze. She makes the slightest little snoring sounds...so cute! Do you know what a "tail blur" is? It's when a tail wags so fast that all you see is a blur! Koa is a pro at this - she's always super happy and excited to see what each moment brings. This little baby loves going to doggy daycare, too. She gets to play with her friends all day long and then go home to a tasty dinner and warm bed. Koa thinks that's about as great as life can get, except that she'd still really like a family of her very own. One that she can keep forever! If you've got an opening for a family lovebug, Koa is crossing her paws you'll apply for her. She's a great girl!
