Chihuahua (short coat) : : Female (spayed) : : Baby : : Small
Hansel and Gretel are tea cup Chihuahua siblings that were found by a someone as they were out on their morning walk. These little ones were just about one pound each when thy were found and to young to eat on their own or even maintain their body temperature. Thank goodness they were found when they were because with their wee size they wouldn’t have made it through the night. We were called to come get them because they were too young to go into the shelter due to risk of illness. A few days of bottle feeding and these two let us know they were ready to start eating soft puppy food. You would have thought we put down Filet Mignon and this was their last meal because our 1 pound babies ate up a can of food like they were 10 pound Collie puppies. Hanse and Gretel have finally hit 2 pounds so are ready to find their forever homes. They are well socialized with kids, dogs and people. They love nothing more than to play with toys, chase each other around a little bit, play with their canine foster sibling who is 10 times their size then its all about snuggle time with their humans. Grab a blanket or a doggie purse and these two will bury themselves for hours. Once they have had all their vaccines they will easily be able to go to dog friendly places with their mom or dad. Heck they are so small they could sneak into non dog friendly establishments. Not that we would condone that… LOL! They could be your constant companion by going to work with you or even being your carry on on your next plane ride.
