Calvin and Hobbes were found wandering in a field in the country by someone driving by. They stopped to save them from being hit by a car and brought the dogs to the shelter. Because Calvin and Hobbes were young and would not have done well in the shelter and because of risk of them getting sick in the shelter we were asked to come get the puppies and bring them into our rescue. Fast forward a few weeks and these two boys are happy and healthy. Looking at them now its hard to believe they were scared, homeless and covered in fleas. Now they enjoy playing with their toys, running after each other in their big backyard at their foster home and being held by their foster family during nap time. Calvin and Hobbes will be big boys. We estimate their adult weight to be 70ish pounds. We will be looking for homes that have had large breed puppies in the past, have done their research and are prepared for all that a puppy has to offer....the good, the bad and the ugly. These guys will do best with an active family that can continue socialization and is willing to participate in formal training and socialization classes. If you are ready for all of the training one of these boys might be the perfect dog for you. They are woking on potty training, they get along with other dogs and currently live with teenage children.
