Carmen came to Jake's Wish with her 8 gorgeous puppies. She's been a wonderful mama but now she's ready to be a wonderful best friend to a loving family. Carmen truly has it all – great house manners, crate trained, loves all the people she meets (especially kids), is very easy to take out and about, good in the car, quiet, good with other dogs outside of her home, and smart! The big no-no for Carmen is cats. She is far too interested and will definitely chase them if they run. Carmen does well playing with other dogs but has shown some resource guarding of food and toys. Carmen is way more into her people and loves to snuggle up for tv time with them when she's invited, so we think she could definitely be happy as your one-and-only. Carmen has been going to work with her foster mom and really enjoys meeting new folks and getting a break from her puppies now that they are weaning. She gets excited to meet other people and dogs but quickly settles down. She understands basic commands such as "watch me," "sit," "leave it," and "let's go" that she practices with her awesome foster family on her daily walks. We think Carmen is about 3 yrs old and she weighs approximately 60 lbs. Carmen is just a joy to be around and will be a great addition to a loving family.
