Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler (short coat) : : Female (spayed) : : Young : : Small
Lola is about eight months old. We were asked by the shelter to take her due to severe hair loss that would require several months of treatment. When Lola first came into foster care we couldn't even tell what color her hair would be or what kind of dog she was because she only had about five pieces of hair on the top of her head. At first we thought she was a hairless Chinese crested until test revealed a severe case of Demadex mange. So treatment was started and several months later we have a 14 pound dog that looks like a mini cattle dog. If you're looking for the size of a cattle dog Lola isn't your girl but if you like the cattle dog look but would like a pocket-size pooch Lola may be perfect for you. She currently lives with children and dogs ranging from a 10 pound puppy to it 80 pound Bull dog and usually can be found sandwiched between the two. Lola is initially quite shy so she will need a family that will give her the time to acclimate to them and her new surroundings because once she does she loves to snuggle. If she isn't snuggled to the other pooches in the home she's on her humans lap while they watch a little TV or work on the computer. Lola is small enough to be your carry-on on the airplane. She can accompany you to all your favorite dog friendly restaurants and would love to run on the beach with you.
