Isabella is a courtesy listing for an acquaintance of a rescue volunteer. Efforts to find her a home have been a true community effort by people who know, care, and advocate for her. No Jake’s Wish volunteers or staff have met her yet but this description of her was provided to us.
Isabella 10 year old pitbull female that is a calm and affectionate. Isabella was found tied to a light pole and was taken in by some kind folks who couldn’t bear to leave her there. She lives with two 3 year old Chihuahuas and stays outside all day and is taken in at night. Unfortunately the kind people who took her in are moving and the new landlord does not accept dogs her size.
Isabella is walked everyday but a neighbor that noticed she wanted to join them on their daily walk. Isabella loves being taken out and is thrilled to see them. Isabella went to a Chili Cookoff at a church a few weekends ago and met and was petted by all types and ages of people. Children and babies didn’t faze her one bit.
Isabella likes dogs and is playful but tends to be passive with them. She really just wants to sit in your lap and lick your face! Isabella is very responsive on the leash controlling her has not been an issue. The only reason the dog walkers can’t take Isabella is that their landlord will not allow them to adopt a dog. She is looking forward to finding a family of her own!
