Maverick is looking for a home to call his own. After being found as a stray in the Salinas area he was brought to the shelter. We were there to pick up another pooch and just couldn't say no those puppy dog eyes staring back at us. A foster was found and the papers were signed for him to come home with us. This sweet Chihuahua/Min Pin pup is 4 months old and full of puppy energy. He currently lives with other dogs and does great. He is playful with all of them even if they would rather he go away so another young playful pooch in his new home would be a great. A family that is active and wants a portable pooch that is able to join them on a day of hiking, lunch with friends or a walk with the neighbors and their dogs is just what Maverick dreams of. At about 6 pounds now and a guesstimated adult weight under 15 pounds he is a great option for those that like the active type pooch but want a smaller dog that can easily go wherever you go. Maverick will need a family that is ready for all the crazy puppy antics he will bring like chewing on things he shouldn't, testing boundaries and early morning wake up calls to potty. He is working on his potty and crate training in his foster home but will need continued work in that area which is expected in a young pup. At the end of the day after all the fun puppy play, training and mealtimes are done this handsome boy will show how happy he is with a face full of puppy kisses.
