Update on Bio..
Boy oh boy did we have Bella Bean's bio and personality wrong. Once her puppies were adopted this once lazy, non playful 6ish year old girl has shed her hermit crab shell and has blossomed into a squeaky toy, dog loving babe. Currently Bella Bean lives with dogs from 10-120 pounds and she LOVES them all. If she's not playing gently with the resident Doxie puppy she's romping in the backyard with her big Rottie foster bro. Even her snobby foster sisters are ok by Bella, one wants nothing to do with her while the other feels it is her job to keep Bella Beans eyes, face and mouth dirt free and will spend hours channeling her inner feline by grooming her. Not only does she love other dogs but she is also a good companion as she hops in the car to join you on all your weekend excursions. Whether you are hanging with friends for brunch and a refreshing mimosa or you are joining your BFF on a weekend hike or romp on the beach she will happily grab a leash and doggie granola bar or bully stick and be waiting at the door while you lace up your Nike's and grab the keys. When it comes to nighttime Bella Bean will snuggle up next to you in bed if you allow it or will be just as happy with a soft doggie bed right next to yours. Bella Bean is potty trained. Send us an application if you would like to me this sweet girl.
The time has come for the mommy to our "Bean" puppies to find her happily ever after. Bella Bean is pretty amazing! She lives with dogs from 15-120 pounds and does great. She is happy to co exist and lay around the house with all of them. We haven't seen a playful side with her yet but she is a master snuggler. She loves nothing more than to lay next to you on the couch or in bed with you if you allow that kind of thing and enjoy some TV or just lay by your side while you read a book or work on your computer. Bella Bean would be a great companion on all your activities. She is great in the car, loves to go for walks and is amazing on leash. She will lay next to your chair on all your social outings like weekend wine tasting, pub visits with your bestie or brunch with your family. While out with her foster mom she doesn't say a peep and greets all the dogs she meets in her travels without issue. Two things we have noticed that adopters will need to be aware of is she is shy at first meet. She seems to bark when she first meets men but quickly warms up and accepts a yummy treat and welcomes a good belly rub or head scratch after she realizes they are a friend not a foe. She has shown a few lip growls when other dogs approach her food but is very easily distracted and stops with a simple NO command. We think her protection over her food is because she had gone so long with little to no food. For those that don't remember..... she was severely emaciated when we first rescued her. She had been living in a homeless encampment and was in rough shape. Now over a month later she is gaining weight and looking great. Bella Bean sleeps next to her foster moms bed in her own bed and doesn't budge all night. She is potty trained. We estimate her age to be in the 6 year range. We honestly cannot say enough good things about this sweet girl. Send us an application if you would like to be considered for her forever family.
